The Gowerlabs NTS Optical Imaging System uses Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) to measure brain activity by detecting changes in blood oxygenation. This is known as functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS).

Diffuse Optical

Our technology allows our users to move beyond fNIRS and produce 3D images of brain activity; an approach known as Diffuse Optical Tomography (DOT).

Our technology has yielded numerous peer-reviewed articles in fields as diverse as developmental neuroscience, autism research, and clinical neuroimaging.
